The platform is fully functional without AI enabled.
ESHB 2557 Compliance — Native
Built from day one for HB 2557: 25-day referral timelines, 40-day evaluation windows, 5-day review periods, waiver-at-consent workflows, and procedural violation tracking in an append-only audit table. This is not a retrofit — the data model was designed around these requirements.
Event-Driven IEP Architecture
14 process event types (referral, evaluation, IEP review, amendment, and more) drive the entire workflow. Deadlines are calculated from school calendars, not hardcoded. Forms are provisioned per event type. This is a fundamentally different architecture from form-based systems built 15-20 years ago.
Full Module Coverage — No Add-Ons

Purpose-built for Washington: 6 transfer types, statewide SSID lookup, contact snapshots preserved at transfer time, secure document links with download limits, and communication logging. No other system offers native inter-district IEP transfer across all 295 WA districts.
10-Language Family Portal
Mobile-first parent portal with magic-link authentication (no passwords to manage), electronic consent signing, document timeline, meeting RSVP with .ics calendar links, and translated form titles. Supports English, Spanish, Arabic, Somali, Ukrainian, Chinese, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Korean. Included at no additional cost.
227 Granular Permissions & FERPA Infrastructure
Hierarchical permission scopes from individual caseload through statewide access. Districts control exactly which features, modules, and AI capabilities each role can access. AES-256-GCM encryption on all PII fields. Every student record access logged to a FERPA audit trail (209+ action types). Append-only audit tables. UDL Framework — Built In
Full CAST Universal Design for Learning 3.0 framework embedded in the platform: 3 principles, 9 guidelines, and 36 checkpoints linked directly to goal templates and accommodation libraries.
